Ward Warriors Raise Awareness for ACS Relay for Life Program
December 2021 – Michelle Moffett (Sr. Cost Accountant, Ward Manufacturing) and the rest of the “Ward Warriors” team successfully completed another Relay for Life year.
Relay for Life, an American Cancer Society-run program, is a program that proves to raise awareness for cancer research around national communities. Involvement can include donating, rallying, and participating in any number of relay events throughout the year, with all proceeds going directly to the American Cancer Society.
The dedicated team raised a whopping $13,000 (yes, THOUSAND!) in 2021, $200 of which came from a very generous collection from the Dress Down Thursday program held at Ward’s main office. Another large portion of these funds came from the “ This Putts For You ” Golf Tournament held on August 18, 2021.
We’re very proud of our Ward Warriors and happy to stand behind them and the fight to end cancer once and for all!
